MAYOR’S MESSAGE
I am both delighted and proud that the Town Council have invited me to be the Mayor of our Ancient Flitch Town of Great Dunmow for the next Civic Year, and I look forward to engaging with our residents over the coming months.
Our team of Staff headed by the Town Clerk and the elected Town Councillors work very hard on behalf of the residents of Great Dunmow and I look forward to working with them on many issues that affect us all.
I wish to encourage all residents to attend various meetings held through the year, this is a great opportunity for you to express your concerns and opinions to our local Councillors, and we would welcome your thoughts and ideas.
My two chosen charities to support for the Civic Year are Accuro and Mind in West Essex. I will support them in various upcoming events through the year and wish for everyone to show their support for such worthy causes that directly impact our community. I am extremely proud to be working alongside them this year.
My aim for the Civic Year is to make a positive impact on the community and be the voice of the local residents.
As Town Mayor and Councillor, I welcome all interest shown and if you think you could support my efforts and aims for the year, please do get in touch.
I look forward to meeting with you all and representing our wonderful residents and historic town of Great Dunmow.
Cllr Peter Childs
Mayor of Great Dunmow
